During the meeting, Zhang Rui welcomed the ZTE delegation and outlined Mingyang Group’s capabilities in the R&D and manufacturing of advanced new-energy equipment. He also highlighted the company’s efforts to develop an integrated industrial value chain spanning wind power, solar power, energy storage and hydrogen, among other energy technologies.

Zhang Rui said that the development of new-type power systems and the green computing industry is creating significant growth opportunities. At the same time, high electricity costs for computing infrastructure and limited competitiveness in overseas markets remain major challenges for the industry.

With complementary strengths across their respective industrial chains, the two companies see significant potential for cooperation. Zhang Rui called for deeper strategic cooperation with ZTE to jointly develop demonstration projects integrating renewable power and computing infrastructure, creating a model for collaboration between equipment manufacturing and digital energy.

Peng Aiguang recognised Mingyang Group’s achievements in technology innovation and industrial deployment across the new-energy value chain. He said ZTE has developed extensive capabilities in digital infrastructure, with green computing and smart energy among its key areas of focus.

ZTE is developing businesses including modular data centers, high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) power equipment and energy storage solutions. The company has accumulated extensive experience in computing infrastructure parks and communications-related energy applications in both domestic and international markets.

The two companies see strong alignment in multi-energy integration and renewable-power-based computing solutions. They plan to continue exploring cooperation in areas including joint technology development and demonstration projects.
